Leafy GreensThis is the main category of leafy vegetables in the produce department. It includes Broccoli, Romaine, Lettuce, Green Leaf, Red Leaf, Boston Lettuce, Kale, Parsley, Cilantro and Green Onions amongst other items. All of these items enjoy a high humidity environment at about 34 degrees. These items are grown year round in California/Arizona and on the East Coast move from Florida (October through April) up the East Coast all the way up to Canada in summer (July to early October).
